Whatever the purpose of reading is, it is a good way of passing time. Many people read books from some specific writers because they are intrigued by their stories and some just choose a book by its content. Has your most memorable book been fiction or non fiction? Did you admire or hate the characters? If so, for what reasons? What did you like best about the book and what made you want to finish the book or read it again? Give a summery of your favorite book and what you liked about it.
Some people like to read fiction works because it might give them different experience that they might not have had in their life. The book takes them to a world so different from them that it separates them from their reality of life. It flies them to some glorious imaginary places on a flying carpet and gives them joy and happiness. Other People may like nonfiction work in which they learn about the experiences of a real people in real life situations. They learn from their heroic acts, sympathize with their tragedies, and admire or celebrate their achievements.

Have you ever read memorable books for you? I have few memorable books for me. I would like to tell you one of them; 'The 7 habits of highly effective people.' I forgot when I read it, but I remembered the main context of that book. It says about what is the happiness for people. Usually, in the past, many people thought that a rich means the happiness for people. So I did. However, as I read it, I could change my thought. It says that the happiness means that we have to satisfy two things; enough money and lovely family. If someone is rich without happy family, it is not the happiness. We need to have an enough money and good family to satisfy the conditions of happiness for people. The book suggests us how to control my time to be with my family, so in order to that, how to put my priority on my life for the family. It brings me rethinking about my family. I could realize that how my family is important for me. In order to make a happy family, still I am trying to follow the book’s 7 habits.

I had a strict and formal education at school and at home, and from that I could have the pleasure to appreciate classic literacy and music. I remember reading on of the most influential books in my life, which made me to desire to someday travel around the world. It was a classic adventure novel by Jules Verne called “Around the world in eighty days”. The story is about a wealthy English man who bet a large amount of money that he could travel around the world in eighty day on a time that there was no high-speed travel. Mr. Fogg leaves from London, England and travels across the four continents by train, and visit Egypt, India, China, Japan, New York and San Francisco. But he faced trip delays caused by sea storms, unfinished railroad tracks and even an Indian attack in the American West, but he could finally arrive back in England with one day ahead of schedule, because he realized that he traveled in eastward direction, making him gain one extra day.

I've read a lot of books in my life and I will probably read many more in my future.I do enjoy a good story though and have appreciated the beauty of the written word since I was a young child. My interest began with the standard fare of children's books.Later, I have read a good number of novels, dramas, short stories and poems. Some books merely give enjoyment. There are others which leave a deeper impression on the mind. One of my favorite books is “Ida B.” This book is about a stange little girl who talks to trees and the brook. In the beginning of the book, life seems perfect for her, she’s home schooled and has all her tree friends. But then, her life goes downhill. Her mom gets cancer, so she has to go to public school. Then some family members kill most of the trees to build a house.I really like how book flows. I also like Ida, she seems a lot like me in some ways. I think if you are looking for a really good book, you should read “Ida B.” Books are the best companions for everyone.

My favorite book was defenatly"white sneakers".The story was about a boy who was poor and one day as he was walking on the street in the city he found a pair of white sneakers that later got him in trouble for taking them. The reason why he got in trouble is because the sneakers were worn by a famous person and they were really expensive and when he picked them up the judge called it stealing even though they were just laying around there. So because of that he was send to a boot camp of teens who were punished for stealing something and they were all working there on a desert digging for gold. And later in the story the boy found the treasure with a lot of gold in it and they let him go home. The story had a lot of twists in it and was very unforgettable after I read it.It kept me tuned into it even tho I don't usually like reading at all.

As we know, books play a very important role in the life of most people in the world. I think that there is no practically family now that does not have books. People have various interests and tastes. That’s why some like to read classical authors, the books about life, some like to read about history, others are interested in science, economy and politics. It depends on interests and tastes of a person. As for me, reading books has been my hobby since my childhood. At first books opened for me a wonderful world of fairy-tales. Then I was interested in adventure and travel stories. Besides, I like to read historical novels about the past of our people. I have read a lot of books in my life. Many of them were good and interesting; some books were not so good. But all of them helped me to understand facts unknown for me before, to solve different problems in my life. Without any doubt, I have a book which strikes me by its originality and mystery. This is “Gone with the Wind”. It is a romantic drama and the novel written by Margaret Mitchell. This book is really become one of the most popular depictions of the Civil War and the reconstructions. I am impressed how the author can combine all facts so consistently. All the heroes are unusual in their acts, but at the same time they are special on their nature. They harmonize each other by their charming. Usually, the plot is too interesting that you can’t be fond of it. What about music, it is brilliant. All sounds still gather in the unique thing. All events are closely connected between themselves. While reading this book, I live the life of its heroes. I suffer when they suffer; I joy when they are happy. Having read this book, I was frightened by it at all. Due to this book, I learned many interesting and useful things; I learned about lives of people other countries their history; I got much useful information about the development of people’s feelings and their relationship. This book told me how great and wonderful man was. It pointed out my place in the life and made the world much greater for me. Besides, it helped me in solving problems in my life.

How many books have you read in your life? Do you remember stories of books that you have read? There are lots of inspiration books in the world, and those wake us to live better. I have read a inspiring book,Like the flowing river. Also this story was amazing that I couldn't put it down. To tell the truth, I have got this book from my wife because it was the best seller in Korea. The writer's name is Paulo Coelho who is from Brazil. Moreover, he used to be a hippy musician and a person engaged in a social movement before becoming a writer. One day his friend,Danial, made him a pilgrimage to Santigo. After this, he determined to write a inspiring book for the world. His book,Like the flowing rive, has inspirited me to live better until now because it tells about our life. For example, "Nobody knows when we die,but we still combat every single day," said Paul. "Why do we have to struggle?" This means that we live in the competitive community so we think that we have to kill others if we want to live better life. However, the writer said that killing made another killing even though you did for your countries. There are many inspiring books in the world, but I would like to recommend you to read this, Like the flowing river, because it can make you fell relaxed to have better life.

In my opinion every book is source of good knowledge. I like to read and I've read many interesting books in my life. One of the most wonderful book that I read was something about Indians, I liked to read about Chingachgook, famous character in books. I really gained many good knowledge from books, because every author is trying to put something interesting and knowledgeable that readers would use. I would say that books open doors to the world that we would never know about, the world full of knowledge and experience.

For me 2007 was the difficult year in my life. My department I was working was in line to close and most of us face uncertain feature. It was hard for me to accept the reality in my mind I refuse to change and look for some kind of way to solve my problem .There were no solution at that time . Because of the unexpected situation in the department, most of us were numb to think something else. One day they brought the clinical doctor to deal with our stress, he lectured us about the pros and cons about our feature and at the end he recommended couple of books to read. The next day I got the book from the book store. The book’s name is “ WHO MOVED MY CHEESE?” by Spencer Johnson .I was laughing when I saw the cover . It took me couple of days to digest the book and make my move after two months. The book is about four characters living in a “maze” who face unexpected change and they found out their cheese has gone. The character were Sniff, Scurry, who are mice, and Hem Haw , little people the size of mice. Cheese and little characters were metaphor representing our carrier and our company we work including different kinds of people. The book really change my way of thinking about life in general. Specially how to survive the stress environment at work and how to deal to my own relatives and friends. I recommend this book to every reader in this class .

I read many books in my life. Those were very different books, some about history ,anatomy, art ,and others…I decided that best of all the books is Bible. This book is more important for me than others. This book includes : history ,laws ,and rules .First, this is a history book and a person that read Bible will know information about our planet from the beginning .Second, this book has rules and laws that people need for surviving .For example , rules about hygiene , clean and unclean food helps people be more healthy . Third , this book gives for people hope and answers for many important questions . This book gives much more different information than any other book in the world . I recommended for all people read this unforgettable book .

A lot of people like to read books and magazines. I like to read books too. I like to read books about adventure and detective stories. My favorite book is Treasure Island. This book is about one boy who lived with his mother and father and they had a bar. Everyone could come and buy a drink of beer or rum. They could sleep over night if somebody came from faraway. One day, a pirate came and slept a couple of nights before another pirate came and they had a big conversation. After one of the men left the boy found that pirate in a big fear and he also was a wounded. From that time this boy had a lot of adventures. The story was very interesting and it had a happy ending.

When I have free time I like to read non-fiction books because those stories are from real life. I don't like to read fiction books because those stories aren't true. One day I went to the book story at Sierra College and I bought a book for my reading class. When I got home I began to read this book until I finished it.The book's name is "Grace Darling". One family lived in the lighthouse on the small rocky island. Their job was to take care about light in the lighthouse. When some ship was going close to the cost and the ship didn't get a wreck. So, they used to help many, many people in the storm. Queen Victoria wrote thanks to Grace because she was a young girl and not strong enough. She risked with her life for helping other people who was in danger storm.

It is a children's book. I've already forgotten the name of the book. The story is about a running racing between a turtle and a rabbit. Obviously, people think rabbit runs much faster then the tutle, how could the turtle win the game at the end? But it did win the first place. The rabit spend too much time goofing around for being too confidence that he will definitely win it.

Everything we read has an influence on us in either positive or negative way. I remember a couple months ago I read a book called “Purpose driven life” by Rick Warren. This book contained variety of valuable information which impacted my life. The book is designed to be read in 40 days, one chapter a day. The book explores a question “What on earth am I here for?” Throughout this forty day journey author shows what things are important in life, and how to live with purpose. There are five purposes in life. Our life is temporary on this earth, but it has eternal impact. The first purpose is that we were planned for God's pleasure. This purpose shows that we were created for friendship with God. The second purpose is that we were formed for God’s family and it it’s important to find and attend a church. The next purpose is that we were created to become like Christ, our creator. The fourth purpose states that we were created to serve God. Author shows as we accept our calling to be servant, God will equip us with strength and knowledge to fulfill this purpose. The final, fifth purpose is that we were made for a mission. Reading this book helped me to understand why I am here on this earth and what my calling in life is. It is less stressful when I am focusing on thing that are important and lasting in life rather than thing that will fade away.

My favorite book is “The land” written by kyung-ri Park who is famous Korean writer. This book is a river novel and starts with the background when the Korea under ruled by Japan. That time, all of Korean had hard time to survive from the Japan’s injustice control and they should live for taking back our nation. A story of this book is about the people who lived for their lover, family and nation at that hard times. When I was a child I read the folk-tales. I learned that sooner or later kindness will get victory.Right now, my regular books are Bible and christian literature. One of them is " Mother Teresa" I like her for her a big open heart, and what she had done in her life. She didn't think about herself but maybe other poor people. She gave her life to be served to poor people. And I teach my kids to be kind and help people every time and situation.I wish that our kids and also adults should be like her learn from her life.

I do not like to read. but the book which I well remember - this book was written by Walter Skott "Ayvengo". There have described the King of England and the valiant knights. When I was a kid reading this book, I imagined myself with them. And even falling asleep at night I imagined that I was in old England and defended his castle and King Richard and his queen.I often think of as a child and often smiling at myself. =)

The most memorable book I read was by Anthony Robbins. Titled Unlimmited Power. This was a imformative book, teaching about the mind and perception. There are so many things that I still use on a everyday basis from that book. Understanding that people go by there past experiences and past beliefs. learning how to change and alter beliefs and there fore making huge changes in one self almost instantly. I learned how to take good and bad experiences and make them help me and make bad experiences not be powerful any more.

In my country I have read different types of books. We had a lot of popular books and one of them was Samvel. Samvel was the main character. When I read that book I was 14 years old, at that time I was attending to school. My grammar teacher gave us to read that book, because we had to give a quiz about that book. I still remember summary of that book because I enjoyed reading it. It was awesome book and teach me that we don't have to save up anything for our country freedom. So Samvel who was the main character and one of the Armenian heros, loved his country, which was Armenia, very much and he was fighting for Armenian freedom. But his parents were traitors and were against their son. In the end Samvel kills his parents, because of treachery.

I'm really in love with science. I've been reading a book called "G.K, Make Handy Easy", and the author is a physics teacher in the U.S. From the book, I've learned a lot about how things work so far, but I haven't finished it yet. The book is a very good guide to answer simple questions which are usually asked by kids such as how a light bulb works. The most important thing about the book to me is that I can understand the world of Physics, and I can share the knowledge with my sisters and brothers. On top of that I think I gain a lot of logistics from that book. In my opinion, most of the childen find physics an interesting subject. I think I could be a physics teacher someday, or maybe more than this.
