This doesn’t happen all the time and there are some people who are either too busy to spend time thinking about what to get for their loved ones or their budget doesn’t allow them to purchase the perfect gift or they’re simply too lazy to even go out and pick out something. Haven’t you received a gift that has no relevance to your taste or character? Were you ever surprised when the gift that you have given to a loved one found its way back into your home and under your Christmas tree? It happened to me. One Christmas I gave a close friend a Channel Coco perfume to her utmost joy. She said she always loved that perfume and to my surprise, the same perfume in the same wrapping was given to me by another friend. The perfume travelled from my home to my first friend, then to the second person and who returned it to me as a birthday gift. I didn’t mind it too much since I was fond of the perfume, but I learned my lesson not to ever recycle gifts I had received from others. Why? Because this could end up in my home again! My experience was very pleasant compared to what I heard from some relatives who received the exact same crystal vase or crystal bowls two or three years in a row from their relatives. After some investigation, they found that their beloved relatives had been stocking up on crystal vases and bowls on during after Christmas sales and were keeping them for special occasions in order to save some money. “I tried to exchange one of the bowls and to my surprise I was informed that the bowl that I thought has valued at over $100, was only $7.00 because it was bought on sale.”
How about you? Did you ever wonder what you could do with the gift you’ve received that you didn’t like?
