Some people read for education, some read boredom and I read for plesure. My favorite book is a novel ,,Crime and Punishment", by F.M. Dostoevsky. I consider this book is still popular and speaks of hot problems through ages. Sonya Marmeladova is my favorite character. She becomes the first person to whom Raskolnikov confesses his crime. She supports him even though she as friends with one of the victims. For most of the novel,Sonya seves as the spiritual guide for Raskolnikov. And in my opinion she is the only positive character here. This is the first book I read from the begining up to end. I recomended this novel to the people.

I like to read books from many different authors. My favorite styles of books are love and life stories. A long time ago when I studied at school, all my friends bought and read books by a Brazilian author named Paulo Koelo. His books were very interesting and I read almost every book that he wrote. His books were about different themes. He writes the same as many other authors that write stories about women and the life of women. All of his books about women were very famous. In my opinion, the best book that he wrote was “Eleven minutes”. The book, “Eleven minutes”, is a story that can shock, embarrass and hurt the reader’s heart. It was the most honest, natural and scandalous book at the time. It’s a story about a prostitute named Maria. It was a true story, but the names were changed. Maria is the one who pushed an author to write a book about her life. A long time ago, she lived in a modern community where nobody would speak openly about prostitution. During this time, everybody knew about prostitution, but nobody talked or wrote about that subject. Maria knowingly chose her style of life and honestly fine with being a prostitute. She wanted to be a prostitute, not because she is poor, not because she feels empty and not because she is looking for a new experience. It is because she wants to understand her character and she has the ambition to understand the sexual relationships between men and women. Also, she has a desire to understand what is shown in men and women’s eyes during an intimate relationship.

Books are divided into two types. Fiction and non fiction. The fiction types such as novels and stories and the non fiction types such as historical books. Choosing books depends on their personality. I prefer non fiction books because they are informative for me. I can get a lot of information about that. I am a psychologist. So i enjoy to reading psychological books. They help me to learn methods life and communication with people. I can solve my family problems. My favorite book is play therapy for children. It is a good method for expressing kid's feeling and assist them to recognize their society. as I worked on several cases. I saw that play therapy can be an effective way. If a child has a bad experienced such as divorce, family death, and problem in the school. My favorite book's name is "How play affects child development and child psychotherapy." It's author believe that play can help kids deal with problem and stress and makes them creative. For example, I remember a young boy lost his little brother. After a long time play therapy he got better than before and felt comfortable. After this event I was encouraged to continue this way to save children from dangerous situation.

Reading books helps to learn a lot of new words,or culture of other countries,or time period that have past.I like to read but I don't have enough time to read a lot of books. Most books that I like to read are romance, adventure and novel. My favorite book is "Leota's Garden" by Francine Rivers. This book is about Leota's beautiful garden--where flowers bloomed and hope thrived. It was her refuge from deep wounds inflicted by a war between her and her kids. Many times she has fall down on her knees and preyed to her loving God about the children who couldn't understand her silent sacrifices. When she was eighty-four,Leota is alone;her beloved garden is in runs. All her efforts to bring peace with her adult children have being crushed. At this time she has just one Friend who listen her and helps her to stay strong. And God bring a wind of changes through people that Leota doesn't expect from:one college student who thinks he has all the answers;the other, the granddaughter Leota thought she'd never get to know. But can the pain brought about by keeping painful family secrets be solved before her time runs out?The problem was solved when Leota past away.Author Francine Rivers opens a world full of great characters with a powerful story of hope.In this novel, author explores the new life where love can bring hope to a crushed garden of broken relationships. The book let us think of the value of life in our own life.Reading books can bring changes our life truly.

Very tough question! In fact, the answer is difficult. I thought a lot and I have not found an answer. I can say some of my favorites. First of all, I like social novels, historical novels, and philosophical novels. I like as much: the novels of Charles Dickens (Great Expectations for example), the novels of Victor Hugo (as Les Miserables ) I like the quatrains of the Persian poet, Omar Khayyan, I like the Human Comedy of Honore de Balzac. I also like Minima Moralia by Romanian philosopher Andrei Plesu and complete biography of Napoleon Bonaparte written by George Eminescu.

When I was a freshman at high school we had to read the book Night by Elie Wiesel. The book was really interesting because it was about the experiences of a teenager Elie Wiesel and his father Sholom Wiesel at the Nazi German concentration camps during the holocaust. This book shows the hardships of Jews especially if you are in a concentration camp with your father and he is not very fit or healthy and you have to take care of him. It makes people think how hard it would be when if they were there with a family and it was survival of the strongest. One point they had to move away to another concentration camp, because the U.S. troops were coming closer. Thus they had to run in the snow for 350 miles to reach the other concentration camp and whoever that could not keep up the Germans shot them dead. However, personally I like to read mysterious or scary books so I stay interested and not lose focus. The longest book that I have read was One flew over the Cuckoo’s Nest, it was about 300 pages, but it was not my type of book. The movie made of the book was great though and explained a lot that I did not understand in the book. This book took me whole semester and more to read not because it was long but because it was hard to read.

Books are not just a pile of paper sewed together, they are a way of sharing knowledge, experiences, and lots of interesting stories. Today you can find all that on TV or internet, but there is something special happening when you read a book.

My favorite books are about American classics, crime & mystery, true stories, fantasy, romance, horror, world stories, human interest, play scripts, and thriller & adventure. For example; Harry Potter, Princess’s Diary, the Piano, The Lottery Winner, which I am trying to finish the reading soon. I was very interested to talk about The Piano, The author is Rosemary Border. One day, a farmer told a farm boy, Tony, to take everything out of an old building and threw it away. That was why he found a beautiful old piano. Tony was not good at school. When Tony found a piano, he liked playing the piano. This story also told us even you can have real talent for something. You still had to work hard, and that was what he did. Finally he got married with Linda who always supported him. They had become Sir Anthony Evans and Lady Evans. It was a happy ending. Since I was learning and tried to improve reading skills, wanted to remember and understand some sentences and phrases, so I can later write them to improve my writing skills as well. That it is why I always choose good novels to read.

There is a lot of books, but we can not read all them. Book- it is history of every epoch. Some books have been popular since last epoch and have been reading for now, other books not much popular and have been forgotten. Dream of every writer to write a book for every epoch, but it is nice or not we can see in next generation.

I like to read books. For me reading books are not only entertainmen that is also an essential life skill and possibility to develop my imagination. I prefer to read fiction books, novels, romance or classic because these books make my imagination possible. Reading them I can travel, feel and to be completely immersed in books events. When I read an interesting fiction book I can transport to different worlds and places that do not exist in my mide. Reading a novel I can imagine the lives of people different than I.I like many books, but my favorite is "Pride and Prejudice".It is really interesting, romantic story. The author's name is Jane Austen. She is a great writer. Her books make me feel another way. Many people simply regard Pride and Prejudice as a love story, but in my opinion, this book is an illustration of the society at that time. She perfectly reflected the relation between money and marriage at her time. The characters have their own personalities.Jane Austen was only 21 when she wrote this book, and I think her works are aiways very natural with a deep meaning.I hope her books will be aiways popular because classic will exist forever!!!

I like to read books of many different subjects. The books I love most are about love ant true life stories. Five months ago, I read a very interesting journal, but it was a friends of mines. The name of book was Marching off the Map. The book was a personal journal about my friends life and it was very interesting. Her name is Bi Yea Han. It was a true story, everybody likes her books. Her books are best known and highly recommended in my country. She works with The World vision and NGO (Nongovernmental Organization) she was wrote Marching off Map1, and 2. I read both of them. I learned a lot from both of her books. Her books were sold in twelve countries. They were published in, Africa, Afghanistan, Iran, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Nepal, Palestine, Israel, Indonesia, China, and North Korea. It’s all a pool countries where people need help and support. I believe that we can help other people or other counties. Many countries have no food, no water, no clothes, and no medicine. My daughter realized I enjoyed her books and purchased them for me as a Christmas gift. I really enjoy these books and completed them in just six or seven hours I finish. I liked them very much. I usually don’t read a whole lot. But these books inspired me and so I could not stop reading them until I was done. I hope to improve my English so I can understand more of what is going on in the world.

I read recently a book about one little girl and her life. Jonny was eleven years old. She lost her mom and later her father. There are lots of books that I have read before but I don' have a favorite one because most of them are in Vietnamese. But I like to read about Non- fiction, action, adventure and especially children’s book because it’s good to read books to your children every night. That can help them learn more vocabulary and their skill in listening will be better. The longest book that I have ever read a long time ago when I was still in college is called “Co Gai Do Long” It's a series so there are about forty of fifty of them. it’s in Vietnamese and it’s about a girl who always help the poor, she steal gold from the rich and gave it to the poor who needed help and even though the riches know that it was her who steal their gold they send out their people to kill her but it never work because she’s really good at fighting. It took me only a month or maybe about two weeks to finish a book if I really interested in the book.

I love reading very much. Every moment or free time I have, I read something. I read fast and it doesn’t matter for me if the book is too thick or thin. I like reading Action, Mystery, Detective, Science Fiction, Children's books, War, Non-fiction, History, Biography, Literature. I don’t have a particular author I like, but usually I discover a good book I try to read something else written by the same author. One I started a book I try to finish as quickly as possible. My wife always asks me to live the book and spend more time with my family, because books can captivate me very easy. The book a really like is called “Forgive me Natasha.” It’s a religious book very interesting.

I read a lot of books. I consider that books are with us during all our life. When I was a child my parents read them to me. I was pleased to listen to the stories and tales. I learned a lot of interesting things from books. I remember that I liked thick books. Later I could read myself. My favorite book is “War and Peace” of Tolstoy. I consider this book ingenious. It is something like “the life book”. War and Peace is a portrait of Russia and her people during the Napoleonic Era. It includes a lot of human characters and situations when heroes face a choice and difficult vital circumstances. "War and Peace” is one of those books that cannot be reread. Every time this book gives rise to new ideas. Books play a very important role in the life of people. They educate a person, enriches his intellect. Books help to mould a person's character, from his moral values. Besides, books bring pleasure and delight. It's a wonderful way of spending spare time. Sometimes we read the same book again and again.

There are a lot of books and there is no person in the world who would read all of them. Books is a history and tastes of each epoch. Each writer dreamt to write forever, and here it has turned out at it or not, is found out in the subsequent generations. I cannot tell that I love any one book. I read a lot of them, the versatile, one art, and other informative. I like the novel "the Master and Margarita" I found sarcasm and irony while there was such love that everyone dreams of. Most of all I love Pushkin's prose that were published in his letters. Pushkin in Russia began to write the first art prose which remained in centuries, and was the first really original Russian novelist. I cannot tell what book is my favorite. All books are so various, interesting or uninteresting that it is necessary to read and explore at least a tiny part of this world.

I like to read books, and there is a lot of them. Specifically classic books that I read at that time. When I was a little girl I've read lots of books. One of them that I remember is "Marry Poppins". The book was written by Pamela Lyndon Travers. It was such a mysterious and wonderful book. The book was about vain and acerbic magical English nanny,Mary Poppins. Actually there wasn't only one book. The adventures take place over a total of eight books. However, only the first three books feature Mary Poppins arriving and leaving. The later five books recount previously unrecorded adventures from her original three visits. As Pamela Lyndon Travers explains in her introduction to Mary Poppins in the Park, "She cannot forever arrive and depart." After I read those books that were translated into Russian. I found out that there is a musical Disney film to it. Here is summary of a first book. The first book introduces the Banks family, consisting of Mr. Banks and Mrs. Banks and their children Jane, Michael, and baby twins John and Barbara. When the children's nanny, Katie Nana, storms out in a huff, Mary Poppins arrives at their home, complete with her traveling carpetbag, blown in by a very strong wind. She accepts the job, and the children soon learn that their nanny, though she is stern, vain, and almost always cross, has a magical touch that makes her wonderful. Among the things Jane and Michael experience are a tea party on a ceiling with Mr. Wig, a trip around the world with a compass, the purchase of gingerbread stars from the extremely old Mrs. Corry, a meeting with the Bird Woman, a birthday party at the zoo among the animals, and a Christmas shopping trip with a star named Maia from the Pleiads cluster of the Taurus constellation. In the end, Mary Poppins is satisfied with the work she has done with the Banks family, and the West Wind carries her away. It's a really long story. But you should read it!

I like books because i always study books whenever i get time from my busy life. I have good selection of books in my room. I like all kinds of book which can provide good information and details about some topics and specially history books which can help us to know about the past. I also like the books about the famous persons of the world these books give detail information about the personalty. I always try to read books in night time when everyone go to sleep because it is neccessory a calm atmosphere to concentrate on the topic and go to the depth about what writer want to say or want to inform you. There is big library near my house which has a big range of books on almost every topic. Sometime i read books in the library and some time i bring books at home. I also buy books from the book stores. I have read many books on different topics but i like to read books on history. I love to know about the past of different nations and big heroes of the world. History books inform us about the way of life of the old people and tell us about the secrets of the past life. The books about the historical personalities of the world give us information about the successful life of these successful persons and also tell us the way how we can also get success if we adopt the life style of heroes of the world.
