Nowadays, the chance of an emergency coming your way are increasing for many people. How prepared are you for an emergency or disaster.Stock up on water in a big way. Along with this, once you get a significant amount of it H2O, buy a new jug every now and then to so as to keep your supplies fresh (and replace the old with the new). Today, if you live in an area with fairly good tap water, save money on bottled water by simply collecting large empty water jugs.10 cans - Unless you're in the habit of canning food for long term storage, you'll use your own #10 cans to can your own food, following a widespread disaster, when the electricity is out for possibly several weeks (as in a severe ice storm that paralyzes a region).Having an appropriate and versatile set of emergency supplies at your home and/ or workplace could mean the difference between living and dying in the coming years.

I never thought about any disaster, I'm not ready for it at all. I live in a flood area, so after today's topic I need to start thinking about it. In my opinion the most important things you need to take with you it's food and medicine. Water and cans food because cans food don't go bad so fast. I'm not sure about documents I don't think you'll need them, but maybe im worng. it's important to keep all you documents in safe place in your house. So if you ever get in this kind of situation I suggest you to take food, water and medicine but I hope it never happen to you or anybody.

Some essential things I would need in my house in order to be prepared for a disaster are, water, enough food, such as canned, packaged, and dry food. Lanterns, candles, matchbox, batteries, radius, cell phone, disposable utensils, can opener, first aid kit, etc. Most of these things I have in my house now to take with me in time of disaster. I do not keep food or water in my car. I keep my important documents in a safe place. I can help my pet prepared for a disaster such as food stored in containers, enough water, a pet first aid/survival kit, and have a pet carrier. I do not know where is the area of evacuation in the area where I live. A tornado warning means a tunnel that cloud has been spotted in the area. A storm shelter or basement is the safest place. Is there is not storm shelter, choose an interior hallway or room on the lowest floor in your house. Continue to monitor weather local news broadcasts.

It's really important make a plan, this is going to depend what kind of disaster, in Chile for example earthquake is really comon, in that case is convenience to have a lot of non perishable food and purified water, candols, matches because the electricity probably be gone, the others thingsare warm blankets small propane stove extragasoline, and if there's a severe snow storm you need a snow shovel.

Some important things that are needed in an emergency situation are: medicine/first aid kit, water, food (mainly canned foods or food that expires in a long time), possibly a fire extinguisher if it’s a fire, if it’s a flood then life jackets, etc. All the emergency things that I might need are in my house. If I would have a pet and there was a disaster I would probably grab its food and make a hand motion so they would follow me, or I would just carry it with me. Yes I do know where the evacuation center in my area is. If anyone would receive a tornado or earthquake warning they should go to the basement, hallway, anywhere safe in the house.

When I read the questions in this text I realized that I was totally unprepared for disasters. In my native country was a very small probability of earthquakes and floods. So I never really thought about how to prepare for such disasters.I never kept food and water in my car. At home we don't have supplies of food and water. Perhaps the only documents we keep in a safe place. We do not think in advance how we will help our cat in the event of the disaster. But I am sure that all members of my family will rescue it in the first place. Now I do not think how to prepare for a disaster, but I am sure to ask about it or read about it on the Internet.

There is some esential things that should not be mssing in a house in case that there is a natural disaster. We always should have enought water, food in cans, first aid kit. It is Important to try to keep all the importan documents together in a save place. Another thing is to have a save place that will be a refuge for all the family. In my oppinion even with all this and more important precautions we will never be ready for a dissaster.

My family and I lived in the Crimea. Crimea is considered a zone of earthquakes. The risk of earthquakes is very high, because there are young Crimean mountains. Houses need to be anxious suitcase, which should be based on the documents, valuables, medications, Bent and all the things for first aid. There should also be matches, candles, flashlight, warm clothes. The house should have a salt, sugar and canned goods. In my car there is a first aid kit for first aid, fire extinguisher, water. Animals, we do not have. I do not know anything about evacuation in our area.

That lists you prepared for disasters, I think you need to have documents and valuables in one place, so you can find them right away. The house must have two exits, the main and emergency. The car should have a first aid kit, water, fire extinguisher. If an earthquake, then you need to get away from home and is at a distance from the house so as not to get hit by the debris, if the house is destroyed. And if a tornado, I think it is necessary to hide in the basement. In general, no one told me where and how in our area are preparing for natural disasters.

An emergency water supply is one of the most important things you can have in your home to be prepared for a disaster. We need to have at least a week of emergency food to ride out a large-scale disaster. A first-aid kit is another essential item. It should contain band-aids, antibacterial cream, antiseptic /disinfectant wipes, Tylenol, Motrin, Aspirin, tweezers, a small roll of medical tape, small dental emergency kit, gauze and other items that can help you to treat scrapes. A good multi-tool is an item that you should never leave home without. Most models contain a strong pliers, folding knife, small saw, metal file, hole punch, Phillips and flat head screwdriver, wood saw, wire cutter and for some scissors.

I never prepared anything for the time of disaster. Actually I never think about it, but I know it’s wrong. Everybody should believe that a disaster maybe happens at an unknown time and it’s important some essential things would be in time of disaster. First of all you should keep a first aid kit in the safe place where you can use it easily. The second you should keep a few bottle of water. The other thing that is very important is keeping some food at home at least for one week. Having these could survive us for a while if some disaster happen.

When a natural disaster happens, my opinion is that the first thing you need to remain calm and follow the rules. We have discussed in our family rules of action in a safe situation. For exenple Being close to the children, you need to immediately put them in a safe place. It can be internal door openings, or internal corners of rooms. We must move away from windows and outside walls, bulky and tall furniture and hide under a desk or dining and other solid furniture. The greatest danger is falling on top of things: stones, beams, etc. Being in a car, you need to stay as far away from tall buildings and other structures, and not to start a movement to stop the earthquake. In my car is always enough water and some snacks. Unfortunately I did not know where the evacuation area is in your area. But after this topic to learn more about information.

I think you should always have a strategic supply of food, water and other essentials. The most important things that you need to take with you in case of accident, it is water, food, warm clothes, papers, flashlight, matches, photos. All of these things are in my special place. if the earthquake will have to run out of the house to a safe distance from buildings and Electric wires. And if you're in a tall building then it is better not to leave the building.

In time of disaster there are several things to prepare like water and food, and warm clothes. It always depends on the disaster and what you need for it so I don't know if I have the things to prepare for it. I do not keep food in my car because it is not practical, only little snacks to eat on the way. I do not know where the evacuation is in my area. If I receive a tornado warning there's really not much we can do but to leave the town but then tornado is unpredictable too.
