Do you know a lot of people from your country? Do you gather together for meetings? What things do you talk about? Do people in your community help one another when one person has a problem? Give an example. What is the most important thing about connecting with people from your culture and language? Do you encourage newcomers to join your community? Do you take your children to the meetings? What are the benefits of having this community? What are the disadvantages?

I know many peoples in my country . Sometimes I invite my friends for dinner in my house to celebrate for example; buying new house or upgrading in my work. We talking about our experiences in our life and some funny situations that happened for us. We help others in my county. If our friends or neighbors lost some one ,we stand with him .Sometimes we prepare foods for guests in our homes and we collect some money from their friends to help their families. The most important thing collecting us is our trust in God. I don’ t like to bring my children to these meetings. There are many benefits for these meeting because I learned from their experiences.

Yes, I know a lot of people of my country. Yes, we met a few times. We talk about different topics, such as economics, social and sports of our country. We also talked about our families. We help each other in our community. When someone has an economic problem the community collaborating with money. The most important thing is that we can speak the same language and different types of food. Yes, we encourage them to integrate into our community. Sometimes we bring our children to the meetings. One of the benefits of being in the community is that we help each other in every situation. One disadvantage of the community is that we do not have our own building.

I know a lot of o from my country. We gather together for different meetings, like weddings, baby shower and party. With some of my newcomers I met once a month. With others I met once a week at church. In our community people help each other if somebody has a problem. For example, if I have question about good area for apartments or if my car is broken. They always give me advices and help me to fix it. I am very happy with their friendship and kindness. All time when we go to the meetings, we take the children with us. Our kids want to play and enjoy with other children from our community. I think the meetings are very important, there we can relax and enjoy.

Yes I know many people from my country. Most of the people I met them here. We get together almost every Friday. We talk about all kinds of issues that will help us, and that affects us. Our community always helps the needy persons, with meal, clothes, money, psychological and legal help. It’s important that our people are connected to not lose our culture and language. I always encourage people to our community grow and so we could help more. We always involve our children and adolescents in our meetings. The benefits are to respect each other as human beings, to live together without making social differences and have respect for life.

In the USA there are a lot of people from my country, Ukraine. Ukrainians are very hospitable and friendly people. They are always willing to help people who have problems. For example, when my family came to the USA we did not know anyone. One family is from the Ukraine helped us find an apartment, furniture, a school for adults, and fill documents in English and many another ways. We walk in the Ukrainian church in ministry. After the prayers people talk with each other. They talk about their needs and problems. Most importantly, they support each other morally and psychologically because communication for immigrants is very important. I am glad and happy, that there are people in the United States from Ukraine who will always help in trouble.

I try to see in this collection is good for them and for me too! shortcomings in the present!

I know a lot of people from my country who live here. Also, many people who speak my language, but of a different nationality. All we're going to church. After church we also communicate. If anyone has a problem, we try to help solve it. The most important thing in any culture is justice and fairness. As in any society, we too have their drawbacks, but I think that more benefits. Our children are with us in the meetings. Because morality is to be a person from childhood.

Yes, I know many people from my country, I meet with them at church every Sunay, after service is finished. We sometimes meet with them at a restaurant after service. We talk about our families, sons and daughters and also talk about our parents, who live out of the country. When someone in our community has a problem we try to help each other out. If someone had a financial hardship we all come together to help each other. It's very importnant to connect the cultures especially for young kis. When our kids learn about cultures, they can feel more comfortable with the other cultures. The language is also very important, for example I have my son who is 7 years old he is in the bilingual program an he knows a lot of academic Spanish... language is important because now he can communicate with my parents when we go to Mexico. The benefits of being involved in our community is that we all come together in good times an in difficult times, if someone has problems with their car, we come together to help out. I bring my children around so they can expirience being part of a community. I dont have any disadvantages here.

I know many families from my country. Most of them are Christians and we meet in a church. We study the Bible, worship God and fellowship with each other there. Some people from our community live in our apartments. We invite them to our apartment and they invite us to visit them. If someone of us needs help or counseling, we help each other or get help from somebody in our church. The most important thing that connects people of our language and culture is good relationships based upon God's love, respect and readiness to help. We encourage newcomers to join our Christian community. It is beneficial for them, because they will learn how to build godly attitude to others and how to serve people around them.

I have met many people from my country in Sacramento. I don't gather with anyone for meetings. We discuss general topics, such as the weather, interesting news and our children. People in my community help each other. Some people give you helpful advice on how to fix your problem. By connecting with people from your country, you maintain specific elements of your culture. I am welcoming to newcomers. I don't attend any sort of meetings. In a community, it's nice to have familiar people around you.
