It is kind of fanny and sad story happened. One time I had a party at my house. I invade my friends from my apartments, and we had a party. After the party my friend Natalia asked her brother to teach her how to drive. It was evening time, eleven o’clock already. So Natalia, her brother, and I went to teach her how to drive. We are driving and Sergey went on red light. He was driving kind of fast, because it was late. And then there was a police standing. So, the police saw that we went on red light and he stopped us. I feel really sad for my friend Sergey because the police came to us and he asks us if any of us speak English. That time I could speak English but I didn’t say anything because I was kind of scared to speak to the police. Any ways police told us that Sergey went on red light, and gave him a ticket. He was really upset that time. And after we went home.

In my situation I’ve never been pulled over or been in a car that was stopped, but I’ve heard of a lot of stories from my friend been pulled over. First I think that if I ever get pulled over I would be devastated, the reason is because I love my car and I would hate to pay a ticket. I just hate the feeling when there is a police car behind me; I get nervous and afraid to get pulled over. By the stories that my friends told me it sound like a pretty scary situation. One of the most popular stories is for being drunk when they were driving and got pulled over. They get a DUI and get their car taken away. Also got to prison and go to school to learn no to do it again. Another one, one of the most popular is to get pulled over because they were driving really fast or passing the speed limit. In that situation they said that the cop just gave a ticket and give an advice to go slower and if next time they get pulled over for the same reason they will take their car away and a driver license suspend. In my opinion I think everyone has to be responsible behind the wile because you can have a car accident or a tragedy can happen.

I have never been stopped by a police and I never had any problems with them. I have asked my friend if police had ever stopped him and said yes. My friend told me that one time he was driving home and police appeared out of nowhere. The police stopped him and asked for his driver's license. My friend couldn't understand why police stopped him so he asked what he did. Police said that when my friend was turning right at an intersection he didn't stop. My friend was sure that he stopped but police didn't believe him and gave him ticket anyway. After police let him go he was very upset. He didn't like that police gave him ticket when he hasn't done anything wrong. He decided to go to court and explain to the judge what happened to him. When he came to the court he told the judge that police probably saw another man who didn't stop before turning right but by mistake thought that it was my friend and stopped him instead of someone else. But judge found my friend guilty anyway. And I know that my friend was very angry about that because police had no proof that he didn't stop and police said he was guilty even when he didn't do anything wrong.

I was stopped by the police in my country a few times. That time in Ukraine, the police could stop cars without any reasons. After you stopped ,police officers found reasons for tickets every time. If you discussed with them your rights ,they could find more reasons for tickets. First time when the police stopped my car was when my husband just bought a car, and my family was going to visit my relatives in another city.Everything in our car and all documents were okay, but the police officer found something after he took a look over the car and inside.I don't remember what it was,but certainly there weren't any problems. My husband was a driver.Police officer said how much we had to pay.My husband paid him without any discussions. He knew if he said something ,we would pay more. After that I was in cars that were stopped by the police a few times, and every time it looked the same.Drivers just paid some money to police officers. When I was driving a car in Ukraine and saw a police officer, I was nervous because I knew if he stopped my car, I would pay some money to him.I haven't lived in Ukraine for two years.I hope it has changed.I heard that now Ukrainian drivers don't pay money to the police, but police give tickets if there's a reason. I've lived in America for two years.I've never been stopped by police here.Once I had a car accident. It wasn't my fault. I was scared by the accident, but when the police officer came, I calmed down. He was polite and friendly. He asked me how was I feeling. Then he asked me and witnesses about the accident. He explained everything what we asked him. When I drive a car, I'm not nervous. I know if all my documents are in order, and I follow all rules,I won't have any problems. Sometimes I think that I might be stopped by a not real cop.

I have never been in a car that was stopped by the police. My parents have been stopped by the police for a simple checking of papers. During these checks, the police just looks if all the papers are in order. My parents have never had problems. They are always in order. My sister has been stopped once by a policeman. He said to her that she did not respect the security distances. Actually she respected the distances, but the policeman saw that it was a pretty young girl so he stopped her.

Well I have been stopped by the police once, when I was in my native country. It was one or two weeks after I took my driven license and at that time I wasn’t feeling confident in myself yet. So I was driving and my boyfriend was near me, I was driving from my parents’ house to city where I was working and suddenly I saw that a policeman stopped me. I want to mention that in my country police stay in some places where is hard to see them and if they stop you that’s because they need money. I was driving as usually very careful and respect all the rules but I didn’t have any luck that day. So anyway I was stopped by police. My boyfriend gave me like 2$ and said to me I don’t have much money, go and try to escape haw you can, because I’m not going to help you. Well I took the money and very nervous I went to police car and there were two policemen. First of all I made a wrong face and I said that I’m sorry. They looked at me and asked me: - Where are you going? I said: - to the work. They asked: - Where do you work? I answer at Naturvins wine making factory, and suddenly both of them were so kind with me and asked me oh is that factory which is situated at that intersection on that highway I said yes and they just told me ok you are free to go but next time drive more careful. This was my first experience with police.

yes i have been stopped by the police. so i remember that last bad time in my life. when i drove my car on the street, the police man stopped me because i did not seat belt. so i got the ticket for that reason. from this time i learn about experience by police, however for this mistake i did not spend too much money, but it help me learn about good experience when i drive the car. so for this time i always careful when i drive the car because i do not want to get any mistake again. for example; when i drive the car, i seat belt first, then i check every thing before i go. that is safe way for me and for other people on the street.

I prefer to comply with all laws and rules of the road. I always drive in a sober state, I drive a car on speed limit compliance with all rules and with great caution. Indeed, the first thing I'm afraid of is to get into an accident, the second is to pay a ticket and a third that I was terribly afraid to speak to the police and even lies close beside them.

I have never been stopped by police on the road in this country.I have never had any problem with them.In my country I had a car and I have been stopped many times by police.their job is to watch drivers on the road. They are looking for moving violations and drunk drivers. That is one side of their job.On the other side they need to get money somewhere because they have to give money to their boss. That boss have to give money to his boss and so on.That is why they stopped so many cars on the road. They can stop you whenever they want to.They nave a system.Today they stop every second car but tomorrow they will stop every third car.Actually they are suppose to watch for drivers who does not follow ruls. When the police stopped you they ask for your driver lisence and registration for your car.In our country you can't drive a car if that car doesn't belong to you.I mean it isn't yours. You need to have a special permission to drive that car.If you have your own car and that car registered under your name, your wife or children can't drive it.Also, the police are looking for weapons and drugs. They have to do that because we have so mutch crime in our country.Maybe they do their best but in my opinion they can't take money from drivers. They need to write tickets like in this country. And after that the judge will decide what to do or how to discipline those drivers.

My car was stopped by the police car a couple of times. First time happened seven years ago when I was driving in downtown Sacramento in my first red car. The road with one way directions was a bit confusing to me, but I was careful all the time. I always drive with the right speed limit; always stop before the stop line. That morning I was keeping attention as usual. After I made a stop on intersection of O Street and 9th street, I was following the bus. On the right side of the road was an Albertson store. I was driving with right speed. Apparently, the police car start to follow my car, then I saw a flash lights. I pulled over my car and was waiting for policeman to come. I wasn’t afraid at all, I was just curious why was I stopped. The policeman gave me a traffic ticket. As I find out, I shouldn’t drive on that part of the road; that road was for business cars only. The policeman told me about sign, which was behind my car. Next time I drove I saw the road sigh was low and hidden in the bushes. Of course I missed this road sign, because the sign was behind the brushwood and leaves. The second reason of that traffic violation is that I was distracted by the bus ahead of me. It is never appeared to me that enter the road could be only for business cars only.

I have ever been in a car that was stopped by the police. In my country, I drove the motorcycle. Normally, I drove to school that time. In Korea, polices are always policed all places. Actually, there are so many people who drunken drivers. So I always checked by police when I drove a motorcycle. I think that situation is good, but that situation include tired. Also I know how dangerous it is to drive after drink. But sometimes checks bring about traffic congestion. We have to relieve traffic congestion, because traffic congestion may give rise to serious trouble. Anyway when I was stopped by police, my feel is nervous. Also I thought ‘did I some mistakes?’ Somehow I fell like crying, and without knowing why I spoke hesitantly. That time was really terrible. That happen was very tired. I don’t even want to think about it. In the worst case, I must go a police station. And I was stopped by police one more time. When I was high school student I often rode a car by my teacher. There are one teacher, two my friends, and me in teacher’s car. We just went to home, and suddenly car stopped. We didn’t know what happened. And there is a broad way, like highway. We abandoned ourselves to despair. It was looks like fall into a trap. We called a police; and when police came there, there were terrible circumstances. The situation deteriorated. There are polices, securities, hi car(insurance company) and many cars. We just got off a car, and my friends and me went back home by walk. Our teacher stood there.

The rules of the road in America and Ukraine are different. In America the police will not stop you if there is no need. They stop a person when a driver does not obey the rules of road. In the Ukraine they can stop a person without reason. When I lived in the Ukraine and drove my car there were cases when. When the police stopped me without a reason to do so. For example: -The police wanted to check my documents. The police can check my documents for me or another person who can be with me. They can also check the numbers of the engine and body of the automobile. In this case I can lose much time, expecially if I am in a hurry. I begin to be nervous and look at watch. -There were cases, when the police did stop me and checked to see if I had any alcohol. Many people in the Ukraine drive in the car with alcohol, even women. This always degraded me, as I never had alcohol. In this case you feel very humbled and very sad. -There was with me a guest from Paris France. I conveyed rim in my car and showed the sights of my city. And it did not notice a traffic sign and broke the law. The police stopped me looked at our documents. I excused myself and said that I conducting an important guest from Paris. I did not see the sign. The police verified our documents and let us go. The police did not give us a fine penalty. To me it was very inconvenient, and I tried to be more attentive. I wrote a recollection about my native land, as I drove there a long time. But in America I live a very short time. It is very good that there are traffic laws and we can drive without interference for other drivers. Without traffic laws, there would be many accidents.

I’ve never been stopped by the police ever so I don’t know how it feels have any experience. However my husband his been stopped by the police on several occasion the first time he was working on his in his garage. Not knowing that his brother had left a case of beer on top of his car. On the way to the auto part store he was pull over by the local police not knowing why he was been pull over because he was obeying all traffic laws. To his surprised as the police officer approach his car and pointed to his top on his car and asked him why he had a case of beer on top on his car? Especially he was sixteen at that time. The first thing he said to the police officer was “that damn brother of mine” amassed that the beer hadn’t fallen off he pleaded with the police to let him keep the beer and put into his trunk for fear of reprisals from his brother thinking that his brother would think he had stolen the beer the police simplified with him and allowed him to put the beer in his trunk and let him go with a verbal warning.

I have had my driver license here in US for a little over a year. I have been driving this year but never have been stopped by a police. In Italy I drove for 6 years and I was stopped by the police once. I lived near Venice but worked on a small town far away. On the was to work form home there was a strange semaphore/traffic light. It was a small crossroad in the middle of a country side road. And the light would stay longer green on one side that the other. And most of the times that side or the whole road was empty. So I was sure I could pass with no problem without depending on the green/red light. So that is what I did for months every time I went to work or came back home. One day it was raining and I passed the intersection without paying attention on the light at all, which happened to be red, but again no one was around anywhere. Only a police car that I hadn't seen was behind me far back. They drove fast and passed me in front and stopped me. They got my driver license and told me that I was wrong and that I drove on a red light. I apologized and said that didn't noticed. They gave me a ticket for 163 Euros and dropped 8 points from my driver's license.

I have never been in a car that was stopped by the police, or in any car accidents but my brother and his best friend was. It was like two years ago, we just came in America and his best friend came to visit him, we were talk and it were like 12 am they left and went to other their best friend. It was rain and they did not comply with speed limit. They rode down the steep street with a big speed. Due to a large rain, they stopped at a traffic light and struck their car. This car was Andrei’s friend, but Andrei used it. Since Alex’s friend, did not have insurance and driver license they left the car and start run, because they got scared and they was sure that if police catch them they can be in jail, because they doesn’t have any documents on this car. That’s why they left the car and fled. They hide on some back yard and they heard the police came to that traffic light. Snickering car and then they start look for them. It was like four o’clock on the morning when the police find them in Andrei’s house. They starts to talk to them, ask many questions. After that the police told Andrei since the car was not his they should pick him up in jail, but they took them 'cause his friend had not written statement that he wants them suing. They paid him a car and so all ended.

I was in the car that was stopped by the police many times. It didn’t always happen because driver broke the law. Police can stop anyone just for check documents in Russia. Policeman usually checks driver license, smog check proof, and proof of insurance. But also I was stopped when I violated the rules of the road. It happened four or five times. First one happened when I didn’t pass the pedestrian. I thought that he didn’t want to cross the street. He just stood by the road. While policeman checked my documents I was nervous and sad, because it was my first bad experience after I got driver license, and it happened in the first month. I thought my father would kill me for that. I didn’t work and he had to pay for my ticket. It was a terrible feeling!

I have been caught by the police once. It was on my way to school and i was in a rush because i was late and i had a test too. I was going really fast. I was going 53 miles per hour in a 40 mile per hour range. I got caught by a motorcycle cop. He was hiding in the bushes so i did not see him at all. When i stopped at the stop light the sirens went on and my heart kept pounding. i didn't know what to do becuase it was my first time getting caught by the police. I pulled over and he asked for my registration and my lisences. I gave it to him and he just gave me a ticket. Since my engish is not that good, i would wanted to tell him the reason why i was speeding but i couldn't. I had to pay almos 300 dollars for that ticket and go to traffic school.

My country,Armenia has so many beautiful places. My favorite place is The Khor Virap ,( meaning deep pit) monastery is a 7th century Armenian monastery in the Ararat plain in Armenia, very close to the border with Turkey and the closest point in Armenia to Mount Ararat, the national symbol of Armenia.Khor Virap is significant in Armenian history because it is the where Saint Gregory the Illuminator (the patron-saint of Armenia) was imprisoned in a deep dungeon for 13 years by the then pagan Armenian King Trdat III. According to Armenian legend, the King contracted a vile disease turning him into a wild boar. After releasing Saint Gregory from the dungeon, the King was healed by Saint Gregory and converted him to Christianity in 301 AD, making Armenia the first country to adopt Christianity as its state religion. A lot of tourists visit this place. I have visited this place once. I really want to go back and see it again. There is an another place that I really like. This place is called Ejmiatsin. It is the fourth largest city in Armenia.Ejmiatsin is the spiritual centre of Armenia and the seat of the Catholics of all Armenians. Ejmiatsin has a lot of churches. I suggest that everyone should go and visit this beautiful place

Have I ever been in car that was stopped? Yes, I have been stopped by the police in my country a few times. Once I was driving home. It was the last evening before new year. There were a few cops near intersection. In my country cops stop cars by his raised hand with special stick. They were showing that I must stop. I noticed them and immediately stopped. There was not any reasons to stop me. But in my country cops want just money and they can find a reason anyway. The policeman come to me and ask me to show him my driver license, the car insurance, and the registration. I did. He looked at them for a long time. I do not understood what was wrong. Finally he said to me “ If you help me have fun on New Year, then I'll let you go on. I didn't want to argue. I knew if I say something I will pay more. So I silently gave him some money and quietly go home. But I was not pleased. A New Year's day was marred. I have lived in the U.S. for three years, but I never been stopped by police here. I like it and I want to hope that this will continue.

In this country a cop hasn’t stopped me yet because I don’t drive a car yet, and my husband didn’t get stopped by a cop either. It happened to my son. When we just came America, first we lived in Washington one month, but the night before arriving to California my son got into a car accident. My son’s friends decided to have a good time together, but then one of them got drunk and he couldn’t drive and the ran into a tree, my son was 17 years old and he couldn’t drive instead. The car was hit very bad, that they couldn’t even fix it. The car wasn’t his, it was his friends’ car. When that accident happened they left the car and ran away, because they were scared of the cops. I remember how my son was scared, he was hit in the face and his nose was broken, but they were able to run away and the cops couldn’t catch them. The police found the car, and by the number the found out who’s car it was and the car to them. The owners of the car said that somebody stole their car even thou they knew who ran the car into the tree. That guy worked half a year to pay off their car. That car cost $14,000. The farewell party cost him 14 thousand dollars.

Unfortunately I have been stopped by police many times.I was stopped a lot of times, because liked to drive fast. Sometimes police gave me ticket, sometimes I was lucky and I haven't received ticket.First time i was stopped ,when I bought a new car I drove over speed limit around twenty five mile.Police took my picture and gave me a ticket.I was very disappointed and angry . Once I was stopped twice during one hour.We were lost in downtown with my girlfriend, she had to fly to other state. When I tried to find right direction, there was only one way road and on the end of the road were three police cars with many policeman. One of them stopped me and asked what are you doing here?I said I got lost, and they explained me how to find right direction.Ten minutes later i still drove in the downtown and couldn't find entrance to highway, and i started drive very fast 90 miles per hour.Soon next policeman stopped me and checked my eyes,my condition,he thought i was drunk, but i told him i'm just lost, and my girlfriend almost late to her airplane, that is why I was driving so fast.He said I can take you car,and to jail and he went to check my driver ID.i was waiting like five minutes,i got out of my car to his car,he said on speaker come back to your car I can shoot you.i asked him number of taxi service to call taxi and he saw i was don't care about myself what gonna happen with me,I thought about my girlfriend be on time in airport.then policeman came to us and ask me "what time is your airplane have to depart" "at 3:30" answered me. Ok, from here to airport 15 minutes,i "think you will on time"and he said"I hope you will drive carefully and safely".Next time he said " will be ticket and big problems".I said thank you very much, and I left.He followed me almost until airport.I felt lucky in that night, because he didn't give ticket. Also, I was stopped couple times and when i counted how much i paid for all my tickets,I decided drive carefully and safely, because if I will get one more ticket, they can take my driver ID,and i cannot drive anymore during five years. now I'm driving very carefully.

I have been in a car that was stopped by the police last year because I did a violation speeding. When I pulled over on the road, I was so nervous because that was my first violation. When he came over my car, he asked for my ID, insurance. After that, he said” your violation is over 20 miles”. I can’t believe it. I was so afraid. I was afraid pay more insurance, my family will yell at me. I tried to talk to him “please reduce for it lower”, but he was so strict and I got nothing, but he said” if you go school, your violation will be clear”, then he gave me a ticket. After that, I didn’t want to go home because I was nervous for my ticket, but when I told to my family my problem, they didn’t yell at me and give me some advice when drive. Moreover, I went to school for my ticket and pay 400 dollars for my violation. I will remember this lesson, I try don’t drive fast anymore in any situation. I think I’m a good driver now.

I have a one big memory that I cannot forget. It happened last year in San Diego. I was an ESL student at San Diego State University. My friend and I just got a temporary license. We were so happy that we decided to buy a car on the same day. We went to a car dealer shop that my friend knew. It was easy to buy a car. One of the car sales clerks was Korean. We bought a nice car and drove to our house. My friend sat in the driver seat and I sat in the passenger seat. We thought that driving in the U.S. is a piece of cake because we were an experienced driver in Korea. Specially, my friend who was 3 years older than me was a best driver I ever saw. But, we never knew what happen next. We were passing through a school zone, and my friend who was a best driver I ever saw did not see the traffic sign. He did not reduce speed. Suddenly, we heard the police siren right behind us. Thereby, we stopped our car by the road. Police officer told us we violated the speed limit, and he needed driver¡¯s license. Therefore, my friend gave his driver¡¯s license and waited for a ticket. Then the police officer came and said that temporary license is not register in DMV server. We were shocked. When we got a temporary license, the DMV staff said that our temporary license is okay to drive in the U.S. We did not know what to do. We were so worried about going to jail. However, police officer told us that we just needed to appear in a court. Thus, after one month later, we went to the court with real driver¡¯s license and paid a large fine. It was a terrible experience.

I’ve been in a car that was stopped by the police for several time. First time, it happened with me in six months letter after I came to the USA. It was Monday, a sunny day, I drove to an adult school when I was studying English. While I was driving, I repeated my homework with new English words. Suddenly, I saw ahead me the policeman that showed to stop my car. I was surprised because I just got a driver license and tried to drive carefully. The police explained me that it was a contraction area with a speed limit of 25, and I drove about 40. I realized, while I was repeating new worlds, I didn’t notice a sign with slow down meaning. I got my first ticket with amount 350$. I had to spend time to go court and paid too much for my ticket. Of course, I was disappointed after that, and I got a “good” experience. Before, I didn’t recognize how serious American police is and how high is the price I have to pay for my mistakes. Second time, it was funny. I moved to new address, and I had to take my two cats with me in the car. The police car followed behind me and after, I saw the lights of police car. The policeman came to my car and asked if I was drink because my car little waged? I wasn’t drink, but my cats were running around the car. We booth smiled and he wished me to drive carefully. Now I know if police stop, it will be problems with my record, money, time. I don’t like when police stop me, and I don’t want to pay a high price for my mistakes anymore. As a result, I pay attention every time when I drive.

It is not nice when the police stop you. I knew about this experience only form my friends. I thought I will never see this experience in my life. It happened one month ago. It was a Saturday evening and we were invited some friend to a party. Everything was great and at about 11 PM we were going home. At one intersection I saw a police car. It looked so good that I never though they will stop me. I turned on the traffic light and I saw blue and red light sparkling in my back. I knew they wanted to see the driver. I stopped the car. My heart was beating 5 times faster and my blood had 200 miles per hour. I forgot where my Driver License was. I could find registration. Finally I heard that the police sad good evening and wanted to see my ID. My husband gave me the ID and I gave it to him. My daughter was with us in the car. He checked my license our car and wished us a good night. I couldn’t believe it was so easy. When he told me that we were free to continue our driving I didn’t know what to do. Instead of driving forward I started to drive backward. I was very scared. I needed some time to calm down and we continued our trip. Later on that evening I understood that there are no reasons to be scared when you obey the roles because they don’t harm people who drive safely and respect other drivers. Anyways I will always remember my first time I was stopped by a police car.

So, the police saw that we went on red light and he stopped us. I feel really sad for my friend Sergey because the police came to us and he asks us if any of us speak English. That time I could speak English but I didn’t say anything because I was kind of scared to speak to the police.
